Phantom of the Opera 30 day challenge - Day 1
How you first learned about Phantom
Haters gonna hate but i was first introduced to Phantom through the 2004 movie. My Nana and Grandalf had bought it because they have always loved Phantom (but never told me even though i was known to love Musicals even then) and one day when i went to their house from school some of my younger cousins were there and Grandalf decided to put it on to entertain us and i fell in love with it. My other cousins were all scared of Phantom and only me and my sister watched it in the end. And after that i borrowed the DVD so much that they bought me my own copy. I learned the entire thing off by heart and always sang it. I became OBSESSED with it although even then there were some part i didn’t like (like Gerik’s dinosaur voice he kept bringing out or the fact that i didn’t think the deformation was that horrifying or Raoul’s choke during final lair that always made me giggle) Then i listened to Sarah Brightman and Michael Crawford’s recordings and watched videos of various others in the London productions and from then on i have always loved it.
